Red Kites have been breeding in Lincolnshire for some time and locally for the past three years. However it is still a glorious sight to see one of these magnificent birds soaring over the Cliff Edge here on a brilliant sunny day in late February with the temperature at 17 degrees compared to a day maximum of -7 degrees around this time in 2018. The rusty red tail and white wing markings on rather long wings make this bird easy to separate from the Common Buzzard in good light.
